Welcome

Led by Pastor Matt and Leslie Willingham, and Pastor John Kilavos, Student Ministries has expanded to include not only high school students, but students of all ages. We now have a “student ministry”, rather than just having a youth ministry. Within the student ministry department here at Heartland, we have Category 7 Senior High (led by Pastor Matt) and Category 7 Junior High (led by Pastor John).

Vision

Category 7 has a vision to reach every Junior and Senior High School in Porter County and surrounding areas. We are working toward that goal by focusing on four foundations:

Destiny - A place to pursue purpose.

Relationships – A family where the misfits fit in and the unloved feel loved.

Wholeness - A safe environment where youth can mature physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Goals – To know that one day we will be rewarded for our journey.

Get Involved!

Every Wednesday at Category 7 (C7) you will see youth from the ages of 12 (6th grade) all the way to the ages of 18 (Seniors) building relationships with each other, but more importantly building relationships with Christ. C7 also has a “hang-out” once a month for the Jr. High group and the Sr. High group separately. As of right now, there are 100 active Sr. High Students and 60 active Jr. High students that call C7 their home. C7 also has a vision of moving outside the walls of Heartland Christian Center and God has already blessed us with that. This year C7 planted 2 Missionary Campus Clubs on two of our High School campuses. (Morgan Township and Hebron High School) GOD IS MOVING!
