Multi-Media MinistryMEDIA DIRECTOR John Kilavos VIDEO TECHNICIANS Jon Otey Steve Stoltz Andy Woods SOUND TECHNICIANS John Kilavos Greg Michalec Video This is a high intensity volunteer ministry opportunity that involves moderate to high technological knowledge and hands on experience. Most of the projects that are done are done live, so it can be very exciting and fulfilling. During a standard service the technicians over the video computer works with production software that allows the words to be displayed over the projectors, and at a moments notice can put a video on the screens that is used as a countdown or a sermon illustration. During Pastor’s sermon a power-point presentation is ran through the production software that allows seamless transition from worship to message. This is a fun ministry that holds a lot of responsibility and plenty of fulfillment. SoundThis ministry involves hands on experience with live sound. It is not required to have any foreknowledge coming into this ministry, but does require plenty of training and time. It is a great way to have an immediate contribution to a service, and create your own style of mixing music. This ministry goes beyond the standard Sunday services and carries over to weddings, funerals and special events. Being involved in sound allows a person to gain relationships with people from several different ministry involvements. Being involvde in the sound aspect of media ministry involves recording Pastor’s sermons, mixing sound for worship, maintaining volume during the sermon, having the ability to stay focused and distinguish between instruments when the band is playing in case one needs to be adjusted. |
