Video:
This is a high intensity volunteer ministry opportunity that requires moderate technological knowledge which is easily learned through hands on experience. During a standard service, the video technicians work with production software that allows the words to be displayed over the projectors, and at a moment's notice can put a video on the screens that is used as a countdown or a sermon illustration. During Pastor’s sermon a power-point presentation is run through that allows seamless transition from worship to message. This is a fun ministry that does hold a lot of responsibility but promises plenty of fulfillment in return.
Sound:
This ministry involves hands on experience with live sound. It is not required to have any foreknowledge coming into this ministry, but does require training and time. It is a great way to have an immediate contribution to a service, and create your own style of mixing music. This ministry can go beyond the standard Sunday services and carry over to weddings, funerals and special events. Being involved in sound allows a person to gain relationships with people from several different ministry involvements. Responsibilities may include recording Pastor’s sermons, mixing sound for worship, maintaining volume during the sermon, and having the ability to stay focused and distinguish between instruments when the band is playing in case one needs to be adjusted. | Pictures:
